Hi there, if you check the excellent MWLIST there are a lot of AM stations on medium wave in Iran. I get that - it's a large country that needs to cover areas with little infrastructure. I'm sure AM will continue in the region for many years to come.

Recorded in Oxford UK on 12/10/25 at 02:45 hrs UTC using a Yaesu FRG-8800 and Wellbrook ALA1530 magnetic loop antenna (outdoors) via a Bonito/NTi AntennaJet RF splitter and GI1000 galvanic isolator.
