Metal detecting at a famous abandoned house. The house its self has some strange history, and it has been featured in an abandoned house video that has well over 2,000,000 views.

I came across this amazing abandoned house and got permission for me and a buddy to metal detect the property. What we found was completely unexpected, we pulled out silver coins, jewelry, and other crazy relics from the past, but the biggest discovery was of an unknown trade token from a town named Basalt in eastern Idaho. The first settlement at Basalt was made in 1885 and the post office was built in 1888. The community was named for deposits of basalt near the original town site.
