what's in a first page? hopefully the keys to success and a hook that will get your readers engaged and loving your story! As someone who spent four years critiquing and analyzing literature, I thought I'd bring you some free advice on first pages. I look over four first pages from four different books and discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly. there is a lot we can learn from analyzing the techniques, prose, and structure of another author's work, so let's go through it together.
