Download Cubic World Gen (necessary to enable the X/Z Far Lands, and view the Vertex Far Lands): curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/cubicworldgen
To re-enable the Far Lands, search for a file in your Minecraft directory named cubicworldgen_mixin_config.json, and open the file in a JSON editor. Then, change allow_farlands_worldgen to true.
