Wyoming's Leftover Draw gives hunters a final chance to secure big game tags after the regular application season. In this video, Hunt Advisor Hunter LeMasters explains how leftover licenses become available, how the draw works, and how hunters can evaluate opportunities before applying.
Hunter walks through the Wyoming Game & Fish leftover license system, demonstrates the Wyoming Hunt Planner, and explains how to research hunt areas, access, and license types. He also covers common mistakes hunters make when applying and provides practical strategies for finding licenses that match your hunting goals.
You can draw multiple licenses per application during this drawing. However, there are limitations on how many full priced licenses you can hold, so you need a good understanding of each species and license type if you were trying to draw more than one full priced. Most species do not allow it. However, there are more reduced price licenses available and applicants have a better chance of pulling more than one reduced priced license on their application. Consult the link provided that goes into detail on Wyoming hunting license application information.
Full-price licenses: Types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 0, and A
Reduced-price licenses: Types 6, 7, and 8
Examples:
Nonresident Deer: Full Price $374 | Reduced Price $34
Nonresident Elk: Full Price $692 | Reduced Price $288
