I think I said something like, “Hi, I’m Michaela. Right now I’m a nondenominational Christian but I’m starting to realize I want more. I want real theological answers about my faith. I want the Sacraments.
I came to Jesus a couple of years ago after seeing a demon and realizing my life needed to change, that I’d let demons in through my life of sin and false religions, and that I needed Jesus to save me.
I just want to know what the Orthodox perspective is on spiritual warfare and things in the spirit realm. How do you view salvation, and gifts of the spirit? Can someone with a background like mine fit in here?”
And little did I know just how deep the answers were, or the fact that many of the Saints had lived lives just like mine and fought demons until the day they died.
Little did I know just how much I would belong here.
What would you say if it was your first time visiting the welcome table?
