Hannah Heiliger from the “Climate Economics and Policy” research department explains how PIK ensures the quality of its policy advice. This ranges from assessing individual measures for their actual impact (evaluation) to updating the overall state of knowledge (evidence synthesis). In this way, climate research achieves an important goal: “to design policies that are not only effective but also fair, cost-efficient and based on the most up-to-date evidence available”.
