The Leo Total Solar Eclipse will be exact on Wednesday Aug 12 at 1:37 p.m. Eastern Time, as the light of the sun is blocked for 2 minutes and 18 seconds.

The total solar eclipse is viewable from the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, Spain and parts of Portugal, but a partial solar eclipse with the sun looking more crescent shaped will be viewed across numerous countries and territories both East and West of these locations.

I've watched three total solar eclipses in person before and I love experiencing the phenomenon! I've seen the sun light blocked in August 2017 near Seattle, October 2023 in Tulum, and April 2024 in Arkansas. 🕶️
