The Expedition 73 crew aboard the @ISS worked on BioNutrients-3, a series of experiments testing ways to use microorganisms to produce nutrients in space.

What's next? Samples from this study will leave the space station aboard NASA’s SpaceX CRS-33 mission and will soon be analyzed by the science team @NASAAmes.

This study will help scientists develop approaches to produce on-demand nutrients needed for astronauts during deep space missions to the Moon and Mars.
