In 1803, fishermen were working in the Hitachi province on the eastern coast of Japan when something caught their eye. A strange vessel drifting in the sea that they tow back to land. Once back on the beach the fishermen would have an encounter that has grown into legend. A legend that many people have tried to make sense out of ever since. What was the Utsuro-bune?
