Today I visited Holland Village (Holland V)—one of Singapore’s most famous, vibrant, and unique neighborhoods! 🇸🇬✨
While most travel shows highlight Holland V as a trendy dining street full of craft beer and expat cafes, there is so much more to this bohemian enclave. Originally developed in the 1930s as a military village for British army officers, Holland Village has evolved into a fascinating mix of historic 1950s architecture at Chip Bee Gardens, bustling shophouses along Lorong Mambong, and modern additions like One Holland Village.
Did you know? It wasn't actually founded by the Dutch—it was named after Hugh Holland, an early English architect and actor!
