Choosing a tank or healer is about much more than picking whatever happens to be at the top of a 12.1 tank tier list or 12.1 healer tier list. If you're going to invest an entire season into one character, it needs to stay fun, rewarding and engaging long after the first few weeks of progression.
In this video, we go through every tank and healer in WoW 12.1, discussing their current gameplay on the PTR, their tier sets, hero talents and overall class design before deciding whether they're worthy of becoming a main, a solid alt, or simply not something I'd want to play this season.
Some of the strongest contenders for me include Blood Death Knight, Guardian Druid, Vengeance Demon Hunter, Mistweaver Monk, and especially Restoration Druid, while other specs still need more meaningful gameplay changes before I'd seriously consider maining them.
