So you've got your props list, now what? If you are just starting out doing props for a show it can be a daunting experience. Where do you shop for things? How do I source props? Not knowing where to start is a common experience for most beginners and I used to feel the same! Everything I have learned over the 9 years I have been doing props has been self taught and I wish I had someone to show me the ropes! Not I get to do that for you! So here is a beginners guide and everything I wish I had known when I started as a props manager and maker!
