When you start riding horses, you learn how to clean your tack and take care of your horse, but the one thing that the pony club manual (or other program) doesn't tell you is that you need to check your bits on a regular basis.
After riding for a lot of years and having ridden to the Grand Prix this is the first time I have actually learned that you need to check your bit. Horsemanship is key to success in all equestrian disciplines so I am here to share this vital information that can help you and your horse from having a dangerous wreck at the worst possible moment in time.
