I want to make it clear, that I'm not bashing Sonic Colours Ultimate. I've also ordered it for the PS4 and look forward to the higher resolution and the 60fps. But when the colours don't look so bright in the newer game, and with the latest trailer found here (youtu.be/sgiS9xrbg6Q) tries to make the Wii version look bad in comparison, that's where this video tries to set the record straight. This video captures the first FMV and snippets of other levels on how the Wii version truly looks (to as much as YouTube's compression allows, obviously).

Captured using my PAL Wii at 480p 30fps in widescreen (it is capable at 60fps but the game is in 30fps so it wasn't necessary) using HD Retrovision component cables to the OSSC (1.6), then routed to my Magewell 4K Pro capture card. My monitor has been colour calibrated with an i1Display device and then the Wii using the 240p suite has been through the same treatment. This means the colours and picture is as accurate and as sharp as it can be, without trying to falsely boost the image to "make it look better".
