I often get asked a lot of questions about cage sizes, I hope this video can help answer them! There's a lot of confusion about minimums. In Europe, these have been the minimums for as long as I have known, but in the US, they seem to be constantly changing, which is why there is a lot of different numbers floating around. Personally, I think the European standard should be the world standard, and all hamsters should get the best cages they can, no matter what country they live in. ☺️
TL;DR the absolute minimum is 4000 square cm / 620 square inches
