There are historians — including Christian, atheist, agnostic, and Jewish scholars — agree on several core historical facts about Jesus based on historical evidence rather than faith. These commonly accepted points include that Jesus was a traveling teacher in first-century Palestine, attracted followers, taught through parables, performed acts viewed by his followers as miracles and exorcisms, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, and that his followers later believed they experienced appearances of him after his death.
So, the claim that these elements were borrowed from pagan religions. It suggests that because historians consider many of these events historically grounded, the idea that Christians simply copied pagan myths becomes difficult to support.
