What Retro Game Youtubers THINK About My Dark Side Of Youtube Videos
I don't like to use scripts but I must admit that this topic was important to me so I wrote down some notes for this. In this video I discuss the topics below and about what other Retro Game Youtubers think about my Dark Side of Retro Game Youtube Collecting and Content Creation videos!
In the past, we’ve done videos talking about the dark side of retro game youtube.
Faking videos
Fake staged pick ups
Retro Game Collections purely for views
Buying and Selling Games for content
But what we never discussed was what these Youtubers themselves thought of this.
Obviously in the past I never really called out Youtubers by names because I didn’t want to be that channel. But did mention some sad stuff I’ve seen.
Youtubers claiming to be collectors and passionate about the hobby but really just being resellers.
Suspicions of Youtubers planting video games in order to make their video seem way more interesting.. ( Game Chasers and that abandoned building. The one guy someone suggested that found Earthbound at Goodwill, etc. )
And overall just shady stuff going on. Using their youtube famous side to get donations for stuff they needed done but then going on vacations, or continuing to buy stuff. Using all their money for their “hobby” but then starting gofundmes to pay bills to their personal friends, etc.
