You won't believe this, but intelligent people actually believe in determinism. One of them is Sabine Hossenfelder who recently blogged that "the whole story of the universe in every single detail was determined already at the big bang. We are just watching it play out." What was shocking was that even when they saw the problems, they nonethless persisted in their belief.
