Transforming my DIY flowering corner tree into a dreamy winter wonderland was an adventure! Earlier this year, this spot behind my TV bloomed with cascading wisteria and lush greenery, but for the holiday season, I gave it a frosty makeover. Using gorgeous lanterns from David Christopher's and the oh-so-popular Norfolk pine garlands and branches, this installation became a cozy, festive statement.
BUT—there’s a catch! The Norfolk pine garlands, as stunning as they are, came with a surprising downside: a terrible smell. 😬 I had to keep my windows open for days to air them out, and with such a dense setup, the odor really compounded. If you're thinking about trying this look in future Christmases, here’s my pro tip: order early, unwrap everything, and give those branches plenty of time to breathe before using them in your decor.
