Alix was only 13 when getting sick at summer camp flipped a switch in her mind. Suddenly, throwing up felt dangerous, touching a doorknob could send her searching for reassurance, and food became divided into strict categories of “good” and “bad.” She had no idea any of it was OCD.

As she got older, those fears eventually faded, but OCD found entirely new things to latch onto. In this video, Alix looks back on how her OCD has changed over the years, and why finally understanding what she was dealing with helped her get the right treatment.

Alix has managed her OCD with ERP therapy, the most effective treatment for OCD. Want to explore your treatment options? Book a free 15-minute call with us at learn.nocd.com/YT
