Infinite Jest is one of the most controversial books of the modern era of literature. Published in 1996, this gargantuan novel was only the second novel David Foster Wallace had written.
While critics say that the book is unnecessarily long, overly self indulgent, or just plain boring, many readers who actually attempt, and complete Infinite Jest become lifelong fans of the book.
In this video, I'm exploring all of the things that make Infinite Jest a great book. This isn't going to be at traditional book review where I do a deep dive on the book's themes, its strengths and its short comings. Instead I'll be focusing on all of the very unique things that make Infinite Jest what it is: A landmark work that is unlike anything that came before it, or anything that has been written since.
