Ramen and Pho, two of the most popular noodle dishes in the world, have a surprising shared history. Chef Yia Vang digs into these dishes with Chef John Ng, making Chompon Ramen, with a rich broth and tender noodles, and Chef Hai Truong, making Pho with Meatballs, full of fragrant herbs and tender beef.

In "Relish", a food and culture series from Twin Cities PBS, Chef Yia Vang uses food to forge unexpected connections with other local chefs, food artisans and anyone who would describe themselves as "epicurious." With humor and curiosity, Chef Vang invites viewers into kitchens, markets and even a canoe, where chefs share dishes and ingredients with deep personal and cultural ties, offering a flavorful exploration of tradition and identity.

"Relish" is funded by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the citizens of Minnesota.
