For more than 700 years, ancestral Pueblo people built, farmed, raised families, and shaped a thriving community at what is now Chaco Culture National Historical Park. Massive multi-story great houses like Pueblo Bonito and Chetro Ketl were part of a living landscape of hundreds of small pueblos, fields of corn, beans, and squash, and complex social connections.

Chaco wasn’t just architecture. It was a community.
