Like many people, I'm a huge fan of Albert Einstein, and have studied his life and work. The process by which his work became known turns out to have followed a curious pattern, that shows up often in history. Being ignored for years, then suddenly exploding in popularity, where everyone assumes it was due to some inherent greatness. But why does that greatness mean nothing at first, then seem so obvious later? Let's talk about that.
