I love me some Jordy P. I've listened to his lectures and read his first book, and I think he nails it 80% of the time. But his takes on MBTI and Jung are so off that I have to classify it as malicious.
He is first and foremost an academic. Academia, including those like Adam Grant, are bought into the Big 5 as the only psychometric tool that works due to its high levels of validity and reliability. Jordy P and the echo chamber of academia circle the wagons around the Big 5.
I want to do a short video breaking down some of his points, but I will warn you up front, I'm not taking the angle of arguing for validation, test-retest, r-factor analysis, Chronbach alpha, etc.
Literally nobody cares about this except for academics. Once you learn cognitive functions, you can type yourself perfectly without needing a tool.
