In this video, I document my experience living in a PHONE-FREE community for one weekend as part of BRICK's phone-free retreat in Ojai, California. Brick is a grassroots movement for young people who are dissatisfied with their relationship to technology and social media and are looking to live more meaningfully in the real world.
Brick throws amazing PHONE-FREE events to promote community and meaningful connections without the distraction of phones.
In this video, I attend Brick's spring getaway PHONE-FREE weekend in Ojai, CA where a group of 50 people join together to form a temporary phone-free community!
Digital wellness has become an important part of my mission as technology and social media aggressively invade our lives. I love social media for so many reasons, but I believe it's crucial to remain aware of how we interact with this new technology and how it's affecting our interactions with the world and each other. I think it's great to do a digital detox every 3-6 months to reconnect with your inner and outer world.
