Yinson started as a small transport agency in Malaysia and has grown into a global energy infrastructure company with businesses across offshore production, renewable energy and green technologies. Today, the Group is listed on Bursa Malaysia and reported RM5.4 billion in revenue for FY2026, while Yinson Production alone has a USD19.5 billion contract backlog extending to 2050.
This was the first video in an enterprise animation series we created for Yinson. The idea was to introduce the Group as a whole before exploring different parts of the business in their own videos.
We developed a bright 2D and 2.5D visual language that could carry across the entire series. Each business has its own environment and colour cues, while the character design, shapes and overall art direction keep everything connected. We also used layered scenes, perspective, parallax and camera movement to add depth to the illustrations without moving into full 3D.
One of the more interesting parts of the project was creating a visual system broad enough to explain offshore production, renewables and GreenTech while still feeling like one Yinson story.
