We know now that the stars are not distant, they're close. So, wormwood must take on a new meaning. The dome doesn't necessarily have to crack at the pole, but from the way it is described I think it may do so and drop a piece onto the North American "side" of the north. My apologies that the spoken portion is a bit out of position, =), but you get the drift. This one is NOWHERE near ready but someone wanted to see it, so...yeah.
