In this follow up video to my 'What happens when you dig straight down in Minecraft?' video, we use similar techniques and automation to determine what the best y level is for each ore in the overworld. (nether coming soon)
Something I forgot to include: A total area of 10,485,760 blocks (2^10 x 10) was analysed for this, for a total volume over 0.838 billion blocks, which I felt was plenty to get accurate enough data.
