When flying an instrument approach to minima, most pilots will call “go around” when they don’t have the required visual references, or “landing” when they are visual.
But the call “landing” is committing. And a lot can happen before you touch down on the runway, requiring you to go around from an altitude below minima. What can we do to prevent ourselves from making that commitment?
