Hi there!
I'm (finally!) back with a new music theory related video explaining what is swing, a form of popular music developed in the United States that dominated in the 1930s and 1940s. The amazing danceable swing style of big bands and bandleaders such as Benny Goodman was the dominant form of American popular music from 1935 to 1946, a period known as the swing era.
You will recognize "In the Mood", a popular big band-era #1 hit recorded by American bandleader Glenn Miller. It topped the charts for 13 straight weeks in 1940 in the U.S. In 1999, National Public Radio (NPR) included the song recording on RCA Bluebird on the NPR 100, the list of "The 100 most important American musical works of the 20th century". Then in 2004, the original song recording on RCA Victor was inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry which consists of recordings that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

Friends on the Other Side is a song from the 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog. It was written by Randy Newman and is sung by Keith David, the voice of the films villain, Doctor Facilier. It depicts Facilier beginning his plan to take over New Orleans by first deceiving Prince Naveen while at the same time, getting his valet, Lawrence, to become his ally. The song is reprised later in the film when he fails and is dragged into the spirit world.

The song title is Via Con Me (= away with me) written by Paolo Conte, an Italian singer, pianist, composer, and lawyer notable for his grainy, resonant voice. His compositions are evocative of Italian and Mediterranean sounds, as well as of jazz music and South American atmospheres.

This is time I used samples from two different Glenn Millers songs: In The Mood (1939) and Doin The Jive (1937).
Also, in order to set the right atmosphere for the remix, I created this video by editing clips from two old movies: Sun Valley Serenade (1941) featuring Glenn Miller with his orchestra and Stormy Weather (1943) featuring Cab Calloway, his orchestra and the amazing performance of the Nicholas Brothers (both available at http://archive.org/)

Spooky Scary Skeletons is a 1996 Halloween song by Andrew Gold. It is the most well known of the songs from Golds album Halloween Howls.
Thanks to the numerous YouTube videos and various remixes, the song has became increasingly popular with the band Red Hot Chili Peppers even doing a version of it at a live Halloween performance. Forbes listed Spooky Scary Skeletons fourth in their top 20 list of Halloween songs.
Spooky Scary Skeletons is now considered an anthem of the spooky internet subculture
