I love memes that utilize music and songs within their edits! Ocean Man is a perfect example of why. A song originally released in the 90's, becomes a meme decades later for a new generation.
Ocean man was originally a song released in the 90's by the band ween. The song had success, but decades later would surpass it's initially success thanks to it's use within memes primarily ignited by the songs inclusion within the sponge bob square pants movie. The popularity of spongebob and the movie exposed the song to a whole new audience of young ears who then took it and utilized it within various edits creating an enjoyable meme in the process.
