Nuclear fusion occurs at the centre of the sun but scientists hope that one day we will be able to harness this energy on Earth, too.

While fusion power is currently still at an experimental stage, one day it may provide clean, reliable and unlimited energy while creating much less radioactive waste than nuclear fission.
