This video explains what Martyn’s Law is and how it relates to the Protect Duty legislation.
Following the 2017 Manchester Arena Bombing in which Martyn Hett died, this legislation has been drafted with a view to enhancing public safety at indoor and outdoor venues, to prevent and respond to Terrorist attacks.
It offers an overview of the various responsibilities to be undertaken by venues of different sizes, which include planning and staff training as well as covering some of the types of product and measures, which may be helpful.
