With the expansion of browser capabilities and the rise of web apps, it is now possible to create an entire computer oriented around the browser as interface. The Chromebook by Google runs Chrome OS, consisting of the Linux kernel but using Chrome as its primary user interface. As a result, most user data is stored in the cloud, and most apps are web apps run in the browser.
