Back-button focus is one of the most debated techniques in photography. Most photographers either love it or hate it, and if you haven’t tried it, you definitely need to give it a shot.

Back-button focus unbinds the autofocus from your shutter button, allowing you to actuate the shutter while in autofocus without refocusing. Instead, you bind the autofocus to a button on the back of your camera, giving you greater control over when you want to focus the scene.

This is perfect for images where you want to focus and then recompose, or for fast-moving action. Give back-button focus a try, and let us know what you think!
