Mhara Starling | What is Awen? The Awen | Welsh Celtic Paganism @mharastarling2730 | Uploaded July 2020 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
Welcome to my latest video on the Awen!
For more information on the Awen I highly suggest reading Kristoffer Hughes’ “The Book of Celtic Magic”.
Quote used at the end of the video is;
“Yr Awen a ganaf, afon cyt beryt. Gogwn y gwrhyt, gogwn pan dyleinw. Awen, Awen, Awen”.
It translates roughly to be;
“The Awen I sing, a connected river which flows. I know its might. I know it’s flow. Awen, Awen, Awen”.
It is a shortened version of one of the Welsh prophet Taliesin’s poems.
