Child abuse is a very layred experience that is perpetuated by adultism. Being proud of your abuse is a common coping mechanism, but you're not "soft" for saying that it hurt, and you're not "tougher" for saying you survived it. Rather than putting one another down, let's have an open discussion about what adultism is, and how we can fix it in the future.
