OSU School of Writing, Literature and Film | "What Is a Verb?": Oregon State Guide to Grammar @SWLF | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 3 hours ago
Senior Lecturer J.T. Bushnell explains the difficulty of identifying verbs by their meaning, introduces a functional definition of verbs, and applies it to several examples, showing native speakers the usefulness of their own grammatical instincts. This video series is designed to help high school and college students make sense of difficult terms and confusing grammatical conventions, identify parts of speech and grammatical constructions, and advance their awareness of their own linguistic intuition.

The School of Writing, Literature, and Film at Oregon State University sponsors this series.
