You've probably heard the term "Mary Sue" thrown around in regard to a female character or two. But...what does Mary Sue mean? Where did it come from? And how can you avoid writing one?
That's what we're discussing in today's writing video! I'll define the term Mary Sue, explain what makes a female (or male!) character a Mary Sue, and how you can create complex characters in your fiction.
