This is a data logger, a device mainly used for temperature recording. It is important to record the temperature of the products like raw materials, chemicals and medicines, during storage and transportation, because is essential to allow companies to be sure that their material has been transported in optimal conditions, and therefore has not been damaged by transport.

The Data Logger I try today is called RC-5, is produced by Elitech and was provided to me by Banggood. Aesthetically it looks like a USB stick, has IP67 Waterproof grade and records temperatures from -30 to +70 degrees celsius. Think that the battery (CR2032) can last up to about a year, assuming to record a temperature every 15 minutes! But to confirm that the battery life is so long you will have to wait.. in fact I plan to use this device for a little long-term experiment. Let's talk now about data, this Data Logger has a large permanent data memory of 32000 records and comes with data management software for easy data download (to computers) through USB interface. With the software, you could analyze data in form of tables and graphs, and export in picture format.
