‘A remake where nothing changes—same story, just new actors and modern effects.’ Okay, that’s gonna be a hard no. Same script and same shots don’t make the same movie. Change the actors, you change the meaning.
If you want to honor it as a fan film, I guess that’s cool. But today’s technology can already swap backgrounds and map faces for restorations. If what you want is cleaner visuals… remaster. Don’t recast. Picture Vader’s unmasking in Return of the Jedi with a new Luke and a new Vader.
Tell me the one scene that justifies a new cast, or the one moment that proves nothing should be changed. Convince me.
