γεια! καλως ΗΡΘΑΤΕ :) (translation: Hi! Welcome) sorry if that translation is janky--blame Google translate for that one. But hi! It’s been a minute, but welcome back to my “What if ____ was a Pokémon Region?” series! Today, we have Greece! When I think of Greece I think of beautiful blue oceans, Mamma Mia!, and the food--God I love the food. Also, the mythology is pretty cool too. I had a lot of fun with this series, and it took me quite a while to compile these tracks together but I am very pleased & happy with how it turned out! I wanted to capture that Greek feeling, but have lots of variety in themes and styles so it didn’t get repetitive. I remastered one old song of mine which you can find on my channel, and repurposed a song I did forever ago which is on my Soundcloud (but that one is kind of completely different but also comment if you figure it out, maybe it’ll be a little scavenger hunt for y’all.) I’m going to break down the tracks below the timestamps so feel free to read all about it if you’re interested! :)

A classic tune--in Greece style. This will probs be a trend for the first track of this series (except China, but more on that later). I used the HGSS version as a base and built upon that--hope you like it!
Town Theme #1
I did this theme way back in August when I was working on Pokémon Resilience, and FiNaLlY i get to post it :) I really like this one, I think it’s fun and catchy and captures that typical Greek music sound. I also played with tempo on this one to give it some ~spice~
Route Theme
it's a route theme! yep! an obvious melody of Kanto's route 1 in there too ;)
Town Theme #2
Not much to say for this one but my intention was another fun, Greece-y sounding track for a town :) I liked the timpani into the crash bit, something I replicated in the route theme.
City Theme #1
Mamma Mia! Here we go again. Lit rally i used the exact chord progressions and some of the rhythms from that song--what can I say it’s a bop. Def not claiming this as super original, nor is it mine, but i wanted to pay homage to my fav movie. i also took insp from Humilau City, one of my fav themes!
City Theme #2.1
Aha! The remastered song. The reason this theme is 2.1 is because I had two ideas: 1) this is the day theme for the city, and 2) this is the “White Opelucid City” theme for the city, if that makes sense. This is another song that I borrowed inspiration from an actual song--The Boss by Diana Ross! Go listen and you’ll hear it clear as day :)
City Theme #2.2
So this would be the night version or the “Black Opelucid City” theme. This one is closer to the original that I did years back, so if you found that theme and listen to this you’ll hear how they’re the same song but just an improved version here. I did this just to nod to the original theme I did :)
Encounter! Rival
An encounter theme for your rival--go figure! I love smug, punk-ass-bitch rivals so I wanted to create a rival encounter theme where you go “ugh.. This guy”.
Battle! VS Rival
So! I had the encounter theme, and I knew I wanted to create a battle theme for the rival but I didn't know which direction to take it. It’s kind of a 180 to the encounter theme in terms of style, but I think it adds a “game on” kind of feel when you battle this jerk.
Canyon/Route Theme
Another scrapped song from Pokémon Resilience that I wanted to repurpose for this video! The idea is like a Vast Poni Canyon type of deal, like a victory road situation or at least late game labyrinth-type location.
City Theme #3/Lounge
So… I had no idea what to call this song. It’s track name is “Grecian Jazz Bar” which I think just about sums it up. Was inspired by “Ladyfingers” by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass.
Surfing
Weee! Riding the waves--but in Greece. Was inspired by ““Theme from “A Summer Place”” by Perry Faith.
Mountain/Route Theme
Yet another scrapped song from Pokémon Resilience--a mountain-y route theme! This idea is close to the canyon theme, but for the ascent to an ancient temple.
Ancient Temple
Ooohhhh…. Timpanis… yeah. This theme is for an ancient temple/altar where you summon the legendary greek god--Pokémon? No, Arceus. Not you.
Battle! VS Ancient Legend
This is the battle for that ancient legend! This is an older theme, found on my soundcloud, but i always loved the menacing build up. Hope you like it!
Hometown
Finally, we end with a chill song after that brooding legendary battle. This melody has been repurposed by myself a bunch, but I think it just has a nice, chill, hometown-y vibe, and for this version I took that vibe and plunked it in Greece. I hope you like it :)
