The gender of God has been a hotly discussed topic amongst theologians for thousands of years, and even still to this day. While most would agree that God transcends gender, many churches use male pronouns or masculine language and imagery exclusively to describe and reference God. Pastor Royce explores why the exclusive use of masculine pronouns and imagery for God may be problematic and limiting, and how embracing more expansive language for God, including feminine or motherly imagery of God, may offer us a more inclusive and expansive view of God.
