If you’ve ever wondered how much it really costs to live in Italy, this video is for you.
I’m sharing an honest breakdown of what I spent living in Bologna, Italy as an American in 2025 including rent, bills, groceries, transportation, healthcare, travel, and everyday life. I talk about what’s cheaper than the U.S., what surprised me, and what actually adds up.
📌 Important context:
This is MY personal experience, not a “cheap Italy fantasy.” I live alone in the city center and work with American clients, which gives me a financial advantage compared to the average Italian salary. I’m fully financially independent meaning my parents do NOT support me and all of the money I spend is money I earn myself.
Everyone has different lifestyles and spending habits, and some people may find my monthly average high or low. This video simply reflects my real budget and personal choices.
