Can you actually grow shampoo ginger at home? I am checking on my plant's progress after seeing the first flowers.

My shampoo ginger plant has produced three cones, but I am running into a problem. The cones are not producing the expected liquid when squeezed, and I need some insight from fellow gardeners to figure out why.
