IPSCanmaking | What Happens Inside a Trimmer? (Part 3) IPS CanSCHOOL @IPSCanmaking | Uploaded 7 months ago | Updated 2 hours ago
In the final process of a Trimmer, each can is inserted into the pocket of the main starwheel. A vacuum chuck securely holds it in place as the opening passes over stripper pins. Knives on the trim cartridge then shear the sidewall, while the spindle pulls the can back and separates the trim ring. Cans then journey through the Washer and head to the Decorator.

For more information about our Full CanSCHOOL Course covering Trimmer Operation & Maintenance, feel free to contact IPS. Also, stay tuned for next week's video, where we will take a closer look inside a Decorator.
