I grew up on those $60 FPS games where you popped in the disc and everything was there—no waiting, no microtransactions. With XDefiant’s recent servers shutting down, I keep asking myself: why don’t we get games like Halo 3 anymore? In this video, I’ll break down the numbers and show how Fortnite and CoD’s massive live-service revenue changed the entire industry. Every publisher chases that level of scale, but forcing every multiplayer FPS into a “superstar-or-bust” model just isn’t sustainable. There has to be a shift or we'll continue to see the same pattern over and over again. Thanks for watching. #gaming #gamingvideos
