Perez Hilton, the celebrity gossip blogger who gained worldwide fame in the early 2000’s has been hospitalized after appearing to self-harm while live on TikTok on August 4th. The Miami-Dade County Sherrif’s Office tells Access Hollywood that deputies were dispatched to his home following calls from his fans who were watching the disturbing livestream. In 911 calls obtained by Access, dispatch can be heard calling the incident a “suicide attempt.” The Perez Hilton Team and Family said in a statement, “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support and prayers…our family’s focus right now is on his well-being.” The distressing incident comes months after health struggles that Hilton has candidly shared which included in a 3-week hospital stay that he called “a near death experience” that he says stemmed from getting sepsis after taking flu medication on an empty stomach. The 48-year-old recently made a vow to be more present for his 3 children and to focus more on his family.
